MOMA Foods issues recall over possible mouse contamination

Dairy alternative brand MOMA Foods is recalling a selection of its porridge pots and sachet products due to potential mouse contamination at its manufacturing site.

There are nine different items in various pack sizes which have been impacted by the recall.

MOMA Foods has said the recall only affects products with batch codes shown below.

The batch codes are stamped onto the base of porridge pots and the back of sachets, near to the best before date (BBE).

These include:

Point of sale notices will be placed in all retail stores selling these products and on their website to explain to customers why the products are being recalled.

MOMA Foods said in a statement on its website: “Even though the chance of contamination of any of the above products being affected is low, we have taken this precautionary step to ensure the safety of our consumers.

“Any consumers who have purchased affected MOMA porridge products are asked not to consume them. Instead, they should return the products to the store where they were purchased and a full refund will be issued.”
