The Boparan Private Office owned poultry feed business is looking to improve its independent grower network with its latest addition to the team.

2Agriculture has appointed Alicia Parker as its agriculture relationship manager, as the business looks to strengthen engagement with poultry growers.

Owned by ‘chicken king’ Singh Boparan’s investment firm, the Boparan Private Office, 2Agriculture manufactures over one million tonnes per annum of broiler, broiler breeder, layer, duck and turkey feed across five accredited feed mills.

Parker’s appointment forms part of a wider investment strategy, with 2Agriculture looking to enhance the support it offers to its farming partners and provide long-term stability for growers.

In her new role, she will be responsible for managing relationships with growers across the central and south west regions, helping to strengthen communication and collaboration across the agricultural supply chain. To this end, she will be looking to enhance two-way communication, providing practical support while helping the business remain closely aligned with the evolving needs and challenges facing UK poultry farmers.

Alongside focusing on current partnerships, Parker will also be looking to start and develop relationships with new growers.

She brings with her proven experience in supporting farmers and representing the poultry sector with her previous appointment at the National Farmers’ Union (NFU), where she served as the Herefordshire county adviser and regional poultry lead for the Midlands.

“Our growers are a valued and integral part of our agricultural supply chain, and strengthening these relationships is fundamental to the long-term success of our business and our ultimate aim to feed the nation with high quality and sustainable food,” said Kevin Sketcher, managing director of 2Agriculture.

“Ali brings significant sector knowledge and first-hand understanding of the challenges facing poultry farmers today. Her appointment reflects our continued commitment to building a more connected, supported and resilient independent grower community, ensuring we can work in partnership to deliver sustainable growth for the future.”

Parker added: “I’m delighted to be joining 2Agriculture at such an important time for the sector. Building strong relationships with growers is essential, and I look forward to working closely with our farming partners to support their businesses and ensure their voices continue to shape how we move forward together.

“Alongside investment in people, 2Agriculture continues to invest significantly in its operational footprint, helping secure long-term customer commitments while providing greater certainty and stability for poultry growers.”
