Simon Ball is confirmed as Nomad Foods’ new president for the UK & Ireland and is set to take on the role from 23 March.
Ball brings extensive food and retail experience having held multiple leadership roles, including business unit director at Greencore, managing director of Jacksons, and bakery transformation lead at M&S.
He moves across from his current position as managing director at Ornua Foods UK and Europe, where he oversaw significant commercial and operational transformation and sat on the global commercial leadership team.
Reporting directly to Nomad Food’s CEO, Dominic Brisby, Ball will assume responsibility for leading Nomad Foods’ UK & Ireland brand portfolio, including well-known household names Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie’s, and Goodfella’s.
His appointment will also see him become a member of the executive team.
Commenting on the news, Brisby said: “Simon brings a wealth of commercial expertise, strategic clarity, and leadership strength to our UK & Ireland business.
“His track record of driving growth, leading complex teams and delivering sustainable performance makes him the right leader for this next chapter. In particular, Simon’s leadership will support our commitment to strengthening our commercial foundations, improving focus and agility, and unlocking meaningful value creation opportunities that lie ahead. I’m delighted to welcome him to Nomad Foods and to my Executive Team.”
Ball added: “I’m delighted to be joining Nomad Foods at such an important moment for the business. With market-leading brands and strong foundations to build from, there is tremendous potential ahead.
“I look forward to working with the team to help accelerate the progress already underway and ensure our brands continue to deliver exceptional value for consumers and customers across the UK & Ireland.”
