The strategic partnership comes as Vinca sees growing demand for its canned organic wines.

Vinca has teamed up with Kingsland Drinks to help it scale up efficiently, as it anticipates ‘substantial growth’ in 2025 with continued growth projected in 2026.

The collaboration is now fully operational and primed to support the challenger wine brand in its next phase of dynamic growth.

The Sicilian wine start-up was launched in 2021 by Zak Walters, Jack Green and Charlie Vass. Since then, it has seen climbing demand for its organic canned wines from the Italian island.

Its range includes red, white, and rosé wines in 187ml cans, plus sparkling options in 200ml cans, with the brand now available through more than 100 retailers and drinks specialists, as well as numerous hospitality venues.

The wines are also served on flights, cruise ships, trainlines, and at major stadiums and arenas, with the brand earning a notable collection of awards.

“Vinca has made its mark on the canned wine sector, and we’re thrilled to be on the growth journey with them as they enter the next phase of their expansion,” said Eileen Hay, contract pack business account manager at Kingsland Drinks.

“In the last few years, we have invested heavily in our high-speed canning line at our production facility in Salford as we know this sector is ripe for growth, in line with consumer lifestyle and socialising trends.

“As consumers dive deeper into the sector, they’re recognising the benefits, convenience, recyclability and sustainability canned drinks bring, whether wine, spirits and mixers, cocktails or non-alcoholic alternatives.

“The £1.2 million initial investment in 2020 allowed us to expand our services and capabilities into canning, with capacity to produce 26 million cans per year in 150ml, 187ml, 200ml, 250ml and 330ml formats. With more investment in the pipeline, our capacity and capability will increase even further in 2026 and beyond.”

Walters added: “We’ve got a strong working relationship with the Kingsland Drinks team who have really got under the skin of our brand to understand our ethos, where we have come from, what we need for our current portfolio, and what our future requirements might be. They’ve demonstrated they can support our future plans, NPD, and capacity requirements and we were blown away with their facilities, capabilities and scale.

“We’re driven by a passion for shaking up the wine industry and we’re confident in our position in the competitive canned wine sector, supported by this new partnership with Kingsland Drinks.”
