The world foods supplier has appointed Andy Ditton as its new finance lead, as it continues to scale it operations and expand its foothold in the category.

Andy Ditton joins Golden Acre Foods from global retail sales and marketing firm, Acosta Europe, where he was commercial finance lead.

Over his four-year tenure at Acousta Europe, he led transformational change across internal financial systems to better support its commercial teams.

Prior to this, he held positions at Grant Thornton, AkzoNobel, and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team.

Founded in 1999 with the launch of Golden Acre yogurts, the company has experienced substantial growth over the past five years. In 2024 turnover reached £130 million and is said to be tracking ‘significantly ahead’ in 2025.

As finance director, Ditton will play a strategic role in streamlining processes and challenging legacy systems to support the increased complexity that comes with scale.

Golden Acre notes his ‘background in continuous improvement and commercial lens will be instrumental’ as the business builds on its success for the future.

Commenting on his appointment, Ditton said: “I’m extremely excited to join such a talented team as we embark on a period of change to get our systems ready for the next chapter of our growth journey. The company deeply cares about its people, its products and its environmental impact and with such strong values, I’m confident we’ll continue to grow the world food category for both us and our customers.”

CEO of Golden Acre Foods, Neale Powell-Cook, added: “Andy brings a sharp strategic mind and a hands on approach to finance transformation. His experience across both technical and commercial functions makes him ideally placed to help us future proof our systems and support our continued growth. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Golden Acre’s brands include its flagship Golden Acre Yogurts, Najma, Elsinore, The Hungry Boar, Jaldee Eats, and Acti-Shake.
