The North Yorkshire chocolatier has announced the investment alongside a new product launch.

Whitakers Chocolates, one of the UK’s longest-established chocolatiers, has launched its new Milk chocolate Brazil nuts following the commission of a dedicated nut processing facility at its Snaygill site in Skipton.

This new development not only marks an exciting milestone in Whitakers’ 135-year history but also safeguards its existing BRC AA* accredited factory, ensuring the continued production of its much-loved core chocolate range.

“This investment hasn’t come lightly, especially with the unpredictability within the cocoa market,” commented managing director, William Whitaker.

“However, with the support of our parent company, Bramble Foods Group, our long-held ambition to create a dedicated nut processing facility has now become a reality. This will not only enhance our range of seasonal chocolates but will also open the doors to exciting new own-label opportunities.”

The first product to roll off the new production line is its double enrobed Milk Chocolate Brazil Nuts, which will launch in time for the festive season.

This launch is just the first of many to come, with the new nut facility paving the way for a pipeline of exciting product innovations – from dark chocolate Brazils (set to launch April 2026) to other much-loved classics, including marzipan, nougat and Turkish delight.

This company said its expansion underscores its commitment to both heritage and innovation, ensuring that the company continues to delight generations of chocolate lovers while meeting growing demand from retail and own-label partners.
