The world foods producer, best known for its wide range of snacks and baked goods, has added to its vast F&B portfolio with the purchase of beverage brand Suncrest.
Founded in 1985, Suncrest offers a range of tropical fruit-flavoured beverages. Its offerings span across still and carbonated drinks, available in bottled, canned, and carton formats, with popular flavours including mango, tropical, lychee, guava, coconut water, aloe vera, and the South Asian favourite, lassi.
The drinks brand will join Regal’s line-up of more than 380 products across a vast catalogue of brands, including the Yorkshire Bakery Company and Just Desserts Yorkshire.
To coincide with the acquisition, Suncrest will feature a new bottled variant across Asda stores nationwide in the run-up to Diwali (the festival of lights). Flavours in the new packaging include mango, tropical, lychee, and guava flavours.
“We are delighted to welcome Suncrest into the Regal Foods family. As a well-loved and recognisable soft drinks brand, Suncrest is a natural fit for our expanding beverage portfolio and supports our long-term growth strategy,” said Younis Chaudhry MBE, CEO of Regal Food Products Group Plc.
“We are particularly excited to reintroduce Suncrest to consumers, with a focus on new product development and innovation to drive the brand forward.”
Regal Foods is headquartered in Bradford and was started in 2001, supplying a small selection of bakery products to local grocery stores. Initially, it had been launched to meet the growing needs of the South Asian consumer within the area.
Since then, the producer has grown into a global food group with an extensive product line-up across bakery, confectionery, snacks, and drinks, operating in both retail and foodservice sectors.
