Paramount Retail Group acquires DB Foods

The UK wholesale meat supplier joins Paramount Retail Group’s portfolio of British brands across pet care, confectionery and drinks.

DB Foods has announced its next phase of growth has been secured with the support of its new owners, the Paramount Retail Group.

The acquisition will be joined by a £12 million investment to drive expansion, enhance services, and strengthen the UK meat supply chain.

The investment facility from Paramount Retail Group will be channelled directly into expanding DB Foods Group’s production capacity, advancing its technology and infrastructure, and supporting the delivery of smarter, more agile services to customers.

It also represents a major step forward in strengthening supply chain resilience across the UK meat sector, creating long-term benefits for producers, retailers and consumers alike.

Over the last 30 years, DB Foods Group’s £122 million business has supported the British butchery industry by providing direct support to 1,000 butchers per week and 240 jobs across its production facilities and headquarters in Poole, UK.

With a growing portfolio of major customers including Tesco, Aldi, Ocado, Wagamama, Popeyes and British Airways, this partnership will further enhance DB Foods Group’s resources, market reach and position, with an expected £30 million to be generated in revenue growth.
