The two Welsh brands have teamed up to create a premium range of butters.

Butter producer Castle Dairies has partnered with sea salt specialists Halen Môn to produce a range of sated butters in block and spreadable formats.

Castle Dairies has been producing butters using traditional methods for more than 60 years. As part of a wider commitment to champion sustainable and ethical farming, the family-run business sources only British cream exclusively from Red Tractor Assured farms, currently working with more than 200 farmers across Wales, and uses 100% UK-sourced natural ingredients.

The latest addition to its portfolio is free from additives, colourings and preservatives, and suitable for vegetarians.

The 250g block contains British butter, Halen Môn Sea Salt Crystals and Halen Môn Fine Salt and has a RRP of £3.25. Whilst the 250g spreadable pack – which can be used straight from the fridge – has a RRP of £3 and combines British butter, British rapeseed oil, water and Halen Môn Sea Salt.

“At Castle Dairies, we’re passionate about crafting real butter the traditional way - using established and respected methods passed down through generations. We’re committed to using only the finest, natural, British ingredients, all responsibly sourced from trusted UK suppliers who share our values around sustainability and ethical farming,” commented Rebecca Ross, brand manager for Castle Dairies.

“Partnering with Halen Môn is a natural fit - bringing together two artisan brands with a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and delivering something truly special to delight our customers”.

The products will launch into Waitrose initially, supported by ongoing in-store promotions and a collection of recipe suggestions to inspire customers and encourage extended usage of the products.

The partnership follow a previous collaboration between Castle Dairies and Halen Môn, with the launch of a butter roll in August 2023.
