This follows a £15 million deal between Princes and Capri-Sun announced last year, following the juice brand’s break with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP).

The agreement saw Princes Group committing to produce more than 250 million Capri-Sun juice pouches annually at its Bradford site.

Anticipating demand, the agreement has also given way to 50 new jobs in the area.

Production began in August 2024, with the four new lines now fully operational. Princes is now co-packing two Capri-Sun formats: 200ml pouches with paper straws and 330ml pouches with a screw cap.

Moreover, as part of the transition, Capri-Sun is moving to lightweight monomaterial drink pouches and introducing tethered caps on the 330ml pouches - reducing packaging waste by 14%.

The Bradford site is Princes Group’s largest soft drinks production site in the UK and is recognised as a centre of excellence with 12 production lines now operational. It caters to a diverse range of products, including dilutes, carbonates, and ready-to-drink offerings.

Capri-Sun production includes its classic product lines and new offerings such as Cola Zero - with Bradford the first site to produce this flavour globally - as well as the Monster Alarm Zero (apple, blackcurrant and sour cherries flavoured juice designed for kids).

“We are thrilled to make Bradford the UK home for Capri-Sun pouches, a testament to our commitment to product innovation and operational excellence,” commented Andy Hargraves, group commercial director for drinks at Princes.

“This partnership not only creates new jobs but also aligns with our sustainability goals, leveraging our expertise to meet evolving consumer demands."

Stefan Seiss, vice president for group supply chain at Capri Sun added: “This collaboration represents a significant step in meeting growing demand in the UK market. The transition of production lines to Bradford reflects the successful cooperation between supply chain and engineering teams from both companies, ensuring a top-tier production setup to support Capri-Sun’s expansion in the UK.”
