Cheshire Farm is updating its ice cream recall to include a second flavour.

The initial recall notice said that three batch codes of its Caramelized Biscuit Ice Cream were being recalled because the label fails to mention that the product contains hazelnut, which means that it poses a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts.

Cheshire Farm said that this was the result of the supplier not declaring the presence of hazelnuts in an ingredient used to make the ice cream.

However, the updated recall notice has clarified that only one batch of Caramelized Biscuit Ice Cream is being recalled, in addition to two batches of Biscoff Ice Cream. All three batches are sold in one litre tubs with Cheshire Farm branding on the front.

The recalled Caramelized Biscuit Ice Cream batch has a L24150 code and 29 November 2025 best before date, while the Biscoff Ice Cream batches have a code of either L23139 or L23261 and best before dates of 19 November 2024 or 18 March 2025.

The batch code and best before date can be found on the bottom of the tub.

Cheshire Farm has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations and issued updated point-of-sale notices to its customers advising those with an allergy to hazelnut not to eat the product and to return it for a refund.

“Cheshire Farm Caramelised Biscuit and Biscoff Ice Creams do not have any affiliation with the Lotus Biscoff brand nor do they contain any Biscoff products,” the notice says.

“Lotus Bakeries does not endorse and is not associated with these products in any way.”

Founded in 1986 by Tom and Margaret Fell, Cheshire Farm remains a family-owned business to this day with a production facility capable of making 10,000 litres of ice cream per day.

Today, the brand supplies more than 1,000 outlets throughout the north west of England and many more nationwide via its distribution partners.
