Daily Dose

Daily Dose is a cold-pressed juice company based in the UK that was established in 2016. In the past year, Daily Dose has grown by 50%, while also doubling its headcount and launching products into nearly every major UK retailer as well as 800 cafes and restaurants.

Meanwhile, the firm has worked to become an industry leader with innovations such as its High Pressure Processing (HPP) machine and unique smoothie processing system.

Under the leadership of founder George Hughes-Davies, the business has exceeded its financial goals, expanded its market presence and strengthened its brand’s reputation. The team is continually impressed by Hughes-Davies’ ability to balance his long-term goals with day-to-day operational excellence.

Daily Dose has also recently consolidated its production from three sites to one in Corby, Northamptonshire. Moving forward, the firm is focused delivering more efficiency within the factory to optimise its operations and has appointed Big Fish, a design and marketing consultancy, to refresh its brand and emphasis its values on the shelf.

The Daily Dose team believes that its dedication to producing high-quality, sustainable products sets us apart in the beverage industry. While competitors exist, Daily Dose aims to become the UK’s leading manufacturer for the growing fruit juice and smoothies market, while becoming a household name recognised for health and wellness.

The Mac Factory

Founded in 2013 out of Camden Market, The Mac Factory has always focused on serving fresh food made with ingredients sourced only in the UK. During the Covid pandemic the firm delivered meals to NHS staff, and soon after decided to expand the venture and begin manufacturing ready meals.

From there, founder Graham Bradbury developed and designed the packaging for four of his favourite flavours and started batch testing the meals in his production kitchen. After exhibiting the products and being overwhelmed with the positivity of the feedback, Bradbury set about launching.

Despite the enthusiasm for his products, he remained concerned about delivering the large volumes required to move into the wholesale and retail space. However, since the start of 2024 the firm has worked on the development of its products for mass production and has altered its recipes without compromising on quality.

The Mac Factory also caters to private and commercial events, office parties, pop-up shops and music festivals, and was even present at the King’s Coronation. The firm’s latest project is centred on launching its frozen ready meal trays into retail and export, followed by the ambient pouches.

Looking ahead, The Mac Factory remains committed to a mission of delivering high-quality, innovative comfort food products while employing sustainable and ethical practices. The business caters for plenty of events in its local area, while it is proud to create stable, fair-wage employment opportunities within the community. The Mac Factory also actively supports local suppliers and farmers by sourcing a significant portion of its ingredients from within the region.

The winners for next year’s awards will be announced at a gala dinner held at the London Hilton Bankside. Tickets are available to purchase here.

The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2025 are kindly supported by headliner Menzies and event sponsors Niras, Quor, and Watermill Press.
