The recall relates to packs of ‘Meadow Fresh Potato Salad with Yoghurt’ with a use by date of 7 December 2024, 13 December 2024, 14 December 2024, 16 December 2024 or 21 December 2024, and packs of the ‘Meadow Fresh Potato Salad with Crème Fraiche’ with a use by date of 12 December 2024, 16 December 2024 or 23 December 2024.

The possible presence of copper makes the products unsafe to eat, resulting in them being pulled from the shelves of Lidl stores across England, Scotland and Wales.

Both products are sold in 500g pots that are labelled with visible Meadow Fresh branding.

To alert customers about the recall, Lidl GB is displaying point of sale notices in all retail stores that sell the products.

The notices explain why the recall has taken place and recommends that customers return to a Lidl store for a full refund if they have purchased any of the products implicated.

“If you have bought [any of] the above products we advise you not to eat it,” the Lidl recall notices read.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.”

Customers with any further questions can also contact the retailer directly.
