Craig Moore joined as retail director from Maritime Transport earlier this year, while Lee Harvard has been promoted to the role of operations director.
Having spent more than 14 years at Tesco, Moore has plenty of experience in supply chain and logistics roles. At the retailer he was tasked with optimising distribution networks in the UK and around the world, before moving onto DP World, White Stores and most recently Maritime Transport.
Stobart, which is part of the Culina Group, hopes that Moore’s experience will help the firm advance its retail and distribution strategy and grow its reach.
Commenting on his appointment, Moore said he was excited by the opportunity: "Its reputation for innovation and customer focus aligns perfectly with my passion for delivering exceptional supply chain solutions. I’m looking forward to using from my experience to further enhance our retail operations and continue driving success for both our customers and the business."
Meanwhile, Harvard has been named as operations director 18 years after he joined the business as a transport administrator.
Climbing his way up the ranks, Harvard has served in a variety of roles and will now be responsible for managing the distribution for two of Stobart’s larger customer contracts, PepsiCo Walkers and Warrens, in addition to expanding the firm’s range of services and driving improvements.
"Having been with Stobart for nearly two decades, I have experienced first-hand the company's commitment to developing talent and fostering a culture of excellence," Harvard said.
"I am excited to be stepping into the role of Operations Director and am eager to contribute to the ongoing success of our team, focusing on delivering operational efficiencies and expanding our services to meet the needs of our valued customers."
As one of the largest supply chain operators in the UK, Stobart works with major food and drink manufacturers including Coca-Cola and Britvic as well as retailers such as Morrisons.
Parent company Culina Group – which owns a variety of chilled and ambient logistics providers – has an annual turnover of more than £2.2bn, employs around 22,000 people at peak, manages over 20m square feet of warehousing facilities and possesses a joint fleet of 5,500 vehicles.
