Recipe box manufacturer Mindful Chef has announced the dates for its annual ‘big clean up’ initiative.

Set to take place from 31 August to 1 September 2024, ‘The Big Mindful Chef Clean Up’ will see the firm attempt to clear up as much rubbish as possible from beaches, streets, riverbanks, woodlands and city parks.

Since the initiative was launched in 2019, Mindful Chef has collected more than 475,000 litres of rubbish.

To encourage more people to get involved this year, participants are being offered the chance to win a stay for two at a Devon hotel and dinner at the Rockfish restaurant. Mindful Chef will feature four exclusive dishes on the menu, inspired by Rockfish.

‘Thank you to our amazing community’

Commenting on the launch of the 2024 ‘big clean up’ Mindful Chef co-founder Myles Hopper said: “The Mindful Chef story began on a fishing boat moored at Lympstone, just off the Devon coast.

“This year we’re excited to be going back to our roots to partner with some of our favourite Devon-based brands as a thank you to our amazing community. It’s incredible the impact we can have when we come together, so grab your friends & family and join us [from 31 August to 1 September] to do good, and feel good”
