Heineken UK has announced plans to relocate its headquarters to a new site in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The planned move will see Heineken UK move its operations from Broadway Park, also in Edinburgh, to St Andrew Square.

After more than 20 years at the Broadway Park site, Heineken UK has decided not to renew its lease when it expires in 2026.

The relocation is anticipated to take place in the second quarter of 2025, subject to detailed planning and relevant approvals. Heineken UK has engaged its colleagues on the proposed move and will provide support during the transition to the new location.

The brewer said the move will offer a modern, flexible working environment for its staff that reflects evolved ways of working.

Commenting on the relocation, Boudewijn Haarsma, managing director at Heineken UK, said: “With a continued commitment to Scotland and to our home in Edinburgh, we were keen to find an office with an environment that really served our changing needs. 6 St Andrew Square is not only a fantastic, vibrant city-centre location, but an attractive, modern, flexible working space which will inspire colleagues and wow visitors.

“I’m really excited about our future at 6 St Andrew Square, which will become a central hub for our teams to be together and a home we can be proud of in Edinburgh.”

Heineken UK employs more than 500 people in Scotland, the majority of whom are based at its Edinburgh office, the company’s largest office site in the UK. The brewer produces beer and cider brands including Amstel, Birra Moretti, Foster’s and Heineken.

A wide range of teams are based there, including customer care as well as customer services, planning and logistics, finance and HR.
