Warbutons seeks national compliance manager

Warbutons is on the look-out for a national compliance manager – food safety & quality systems.

Based in Bolton, the well-known baking manufacturer is seeking a full-time member of staff to join its quality team.

The candidate will be working alongside the site’s head of food safety and quality and should have experience in food safety and compliance in a similar role. An important part of this position will be to manage and lead on quality management systems and BRCGS audits.

The following or a similar qualification is important for this role: Level 4 HACCP & Food Safety.

The successful candidate will also have a good understanding of food microbiology and a Level 2 Certificate in Pest Management or similar.

Savencia Fromage & Dairy UK seeks QA

Savencia Fromage & Dairy UK is looking for a quality assurance (QA) technologist to join its team in Westbury, Wiltshire.

This is a chance to join a major player in milk processing, focusing on cheese and milk specialities, among other dairy products such as delicatessen, seafood and chocolate.

Key responsibilities in this role include auditing the factory, processes, products and records to verify operations are adhering to the set standards and procedures. This will also include conducting good manufacturing practice (GMP) audits.

Experience in food, drink or FMCG is essential, alongside a Level 2 food safety certification for manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and demonstrate excellence communication skills, both orally and on paper.

Fresh food supplier, David Wood Foods, is recruiting a head of technical at its Bolton (Kearsley) site.

This role will require you to lead the quality agenda across the site, ensuring adherence to customer requirements, while improving quality and driving out waste and inefficiency.

Europastry seeks two product development technologists

Leading European bakery company, Europastry, is keeping a keen eye open for two talented product development technologists, as a result of expansion.

The successful candidate will be based at the Evesham site in Worcestershire. The role is predominantly office/bakery based, with some working from home days available and travel within the UK & Europe as required.

Key responsibilities will include developing new products from concept to launch as detailed on customer briefs and for internal campaigns, handling all project paperwork including costings, new product set-up documentation, new ingredient approval, recipe and costing set-ups, and sourcing new ingredients, among others. You will need previous experience in NPD, ideally with a bakery background. A HNC or a BTEC in a food related subject is desirable.
