People on the move: Food and drink senior appointments
New MD at Pembrokeshire Creamery
Former McQueen’s Dairies operations director Mark McQuade has been appointed managing director for Pembrokeshire Creamery.
He joins the business as it completes the construction of a new liquid milk processing facility in Haverfordwest, Wales, which will have the capacity to bottle more than one million litres of milk a week.
McQuade boasts an impressive career within the dairy industry, having spent more than 25 years across a number of senior roles in the sector. Prior to his time with McQueen’s, he served as group commercial and business unit director at Medina Dairy and was commercial director for Graham’s Family Dairy.
Commenting on his appointment, McQuade said: “I am very excited to be joining the team in Pembrokeshire. We aim to be the only BRC Certified facility to offer Welsh milk that is also bottled in Wales, and as such, the new facility has huge potential.
“I know from having worked with Pembrokeshire dairy farmers in previous roles that this is a fantastic milk field in which to build an authentically Welsh milk supply for Welsh supermarket stores.”
