There’s just one month to go until we reveal the winners of the 22nd Food Manufacture Excellence Awards.

Tickets are still available to attend this exclusive black-tie event, recognised as the Oscars of the food and drink industry, and find out in person who will be taking home the category awards and be crowned Food Manufacturing Company of the Year.

Previous winners of the coveted award include chilled meals manufacturer Charlie Bigham’s (2022), meat processor Cranswick (2021) and wholesale sandwich supplier Raynor Foods (2020).

This year the awards will take place on Thursday 9 February at the London Hilton Bankside, promising a night of entertainment and networking as we celebrate the achievements of the food and drink industry over the past 12 months.

Challenging 2022

Despite the challenges faced by the sector in the past year, the 2023 awards received a bumper number of entries across 16 categories.

This year also sees a new category added to the mix, Pet Food Manufacturing Company of the Year, with Butternut Box and WHM Pet Group contending to take home the trophy.

The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards also recognise the dedication and hard work of the people working in the food and drink industry, with awards up for grabs for Apprentice of the Year, Site Team of the Year and the Future Talent Award.

In face of adversity

Commenting on this year’s entries, chair of the judges Geoff Eaton said: “This year we had a good number of entries for all categories in the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards. This is heartening given the demanding nature of the current economic environment.

“The stand out features of this year’s entries were the impressive commitment to sustainability; the creative investment in training and wide support for apprenticeships; and the scale of investment in manufacturing, efficiency and NPD.”

Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of our celebration and recognition of the hard work of the food and drink industry. Book your tickets now.

Meanwhile, look out for coverage of the event, as well as exclusive interviews with previous winners on FoodManufacture.co.uk.
