Egg processor Noble Foods has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of commercial director Jerome Saulet.

Commenting on Saulet’s appointment, Noble Foods chief executive Dale Burnett said: “He brings with him a wealth of sales and business development experience.

“We’re excited by the plans Jerome has put together to build sustainable growth for this and the rest of our egg portfolio like Purely Organic and Big & Fresh.”

Saulet joined the company from ambient fruit conserves and chilled yoghurts supplier Andros UK, where he served as commercial director for the past four years.

Roles across the industry

Saulet has held a number of positions in fast moving consumer goods companies, starting his career in sales and marketing positions across Rank Hovis MacDougall, Unilever and John West Foods.

Immediately prior to his time with Andros UK, he spent six years with Premier Foods in a number of account director roles interacting with retailers such as Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury.

Saulet added: “I joined the business just as COVID-19 confined us to our homes and working with the team, we’ve already opened up new avenues of supply, including a partnership with Hello Fresh to supply the brand into their brunch boxes.

“I look forward to helping all Noble Foods brands explore new territories and sales opportunities.”

Food and drink appointments

Last month saw a number of appointments within the food and drink industry.

2 Sisters Food Group’s parent company Boparan Holdings announced changes to its board of directors, which saw non-executive director Alex Russo leave the business 30 June to focus full-time on his executive role commitments.

In addition, Boparan Holdings announced the appointment of former Co-op chief finance officer Ian Ellis to the non-executive board, taking over the role of chair of the audit committee.

Meanwhile, ex-Morrisons marketing director Mike Hoban is the new chief executive of royally appointed Scottish butcher Donald Russell – a winner at William Reed’s Butcher’s Shop of The Year Awards 2019.
