Partnership boosts pasta supply chain
Uren Food Group has partnered with Italian producer Cerealto Siro to become its exclusive UK distributor for pasta.
The deal will bolster Uren’s already extensive ingredients supply in the UK food industry, with 140 different pasta shapes in several raw material options for both manufacturing and foodservice needs.
A Uren spokesman said: “Cerealto is a major manufacturer with a philosophy of development and investment. Teamed with the knowledge, experience and enthusiasm at Uren, it can only be good for both companies, but more importantly for our customers.”
Cerealto will supply the UK with pasta from sites in Italy and Spain. The launch of the new division comes just after a management buyout.
A spokesman for Cerealto added: “Working with Uren Food Group will achieve our aims within the manufacturing and foodservice markets in the UK.”
