The challenge, organised by Talent in Logistics in partnership with UniCarriers, will involve truck operators undertaking several tests designed to show their skills, knowledge and understanding of safe forklift operation.
“Forklift operators don’t tend to get highly recognised for their hard work, which is why we want to celebrate these individuals and encourage them to continue their efforts,” said Talent in Logistics business manager Ruth Edwards.
‘Skilled, safe and efficient forklift operators’
“The Challenge will also demonstrate the importance of skilled, safe and efficient forklift operators to the productivity of any company.”
Participants will use Unicarriers’ TX3 electric counterbalance truck, with each entrant given a truck familiarisation session before they compete, to ensure they enjoy the truck’s technology.
Operators wanting to take up the challenge can register by visiting stand 6B190 at any time during IMHX or by contacting Talent in Logistics in advance at TalentInLogistics@capitb.co.uk.
IMHX takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 24–27 September.
