The app is an add-on to the company’s hardware/software combination of its EMS software platform, Hanwell Pro and Hanwell IceSpy, and provides a simple visual for multiple users on the go.
The app, which be used anywhere in the world, can help manufacturers avoid food spoilage by warning users of compromised conditions in their plant.
Interactive tools
Based on the background EMS browser-based user interface, with interactive tools for analysis and immediate alarm notification, the app is claimed to offer a quick overview for users who do not have access to networked software.
App features include interactive graphs, tables and plan views for improved data analysis as well as management of user access levels through customisable groups. In certain applications the app can also be used as an alternative to SMS alerts, currently available through other Hanwell hardware.
“There have been suggestions that people are becoming too addicted to their smartphones,” said Hanwell chief executive Ian Robinson. “However, this is one case where your phone or tablet could save you a fortune in spoiled products by warning you wherever you are if conditions are compromised.”
