Mediterranean fine food producer Odysea has launched a new range of cooking products.

The list of new SKUs consists of Odysea Date Molasses; Odysea Sautéed Mushrooms Marinated in Oil with Parsley; Odysea Artichoke Quarters in a Pouch; Odysea Beldi Preserved Lemons in Brine; Odysea Big Kalamata Pitted Olives in Brine and Odysea Big Halkidiki Pitted Olives in Brine.

The new additions join Odysea’s existing range products which focus on Greek and Mediterranean tradition. The new products offer retailers greater opportunity to provide artisan products from Greece and the Mediterranean.

The brand believes that products such as the Date Molasses and Sautéed Mushrooms will also allow retailers to tap into upcoming 2019 trends, looking ahead to demand for products that complement stripped-back Italian cooking or lesser-used kitchen condiments. The range also includes several vegan products, allowing retailers to access the vegetarian and vegan market.

Already part of the existing range are Odysea’s extra virgin olive oils, balsamic vinegars, Greek hand-picked olives in olive oil, Greek honey, and ready-to-eat appetisers based on traditional Greek recipes.

In December, Herefordshire-based specialist ingredients supplier Pixley Berries launched a 100% cherry juice, which it claimed was the first of its kind.
