The new additions will be available from September in three flavours: Hellishly Hot Sweet Heat, Good Ol' Smokin' BBQ and Mighty Fine Fire Grilled Chicken.
The American Deep South-inspired snacks are made of chunks of 100% smoked chicken breasts presented in a convenient on-the-go pot.
"Fire & Smoke has had a phenomenally successful first year on shelf, so we felt there was a great opportunity to leverage such a strong performance by offering retailers another fantastic way to grow sales in the fastest-growing sector in the chilled meats category," said senior brand manager Hilary Hughes.
"Fire & Smoke On the Go will be the perfect anytime snack, as well as a protein pick-me-up for busy, active people looking for something tasty to keep them satisfied when out and about - for example after the gym."
Aimed at young adults looking for new flavours, it is hoped the range will boost Kerry Foods' presence in the meat snacking market, currently worth £113 million according to Nielsen Scantrack.
"We are already growing ahead of the market in meat snacking with Mattessons, and new Fire & Smoke On the Go will help retailers maximise sales of this fast-growing trend even further with a new range of quality meat snacks at an audience of flavour craver young adults who are dynamic, adventurous and seeking a taste sensation and adventure with their food," commented Jo Spencer, marketing director at Kerry Foods.
After securing listings across multiple retail, wholesale and convenience markets, including Londis, Ocado, Amazon and Morrisons online, Fire & Smoke recorded sales of more than £3m [Kerry Foods' sales data] for its first year.
Further to this, the brand has become a permanent fixture on deli counters in Tesco and Morrisons nationwide.
To celebrate this success, Kerry Foods is introducing the brand's first limited-edition flavour in September - Fire Grilled Chipotle Ham Shavings (RRP: £2.89/100g).
"We are committed to continuing to grow the Fire & Smoke range with attention-grabbing new products that will drive category sales for retailers," added Hughes. "We look forward to sharing details of further exciting launches in the coming months."
