DSM targets oat success
DSM is seeking to create consumer awareness of its heart health ingredient OatWell oat beta-glucan after it was named one of the most innovative products of the year at the Food Ingredients South America awards 2013.
This naturally-derived ingredient is particularly well-known for its heart health benefits and helps to lower cholesterol and the associated risk of cardiovascular disease.
OatWell is a recent addition to DSM's health ingredients portfolio, following the acquisition of the brand from Swedish Oat Fiber earlier this year. It is suitable for use in breads, biscuits, cereals, pasta, beverages and powder drinks.
