New sanitary sieve has good vibrations for safety standards

Separation and filtration specialist Russell Finex has modified its Russell Compact Sieve vibratory screener to meet the requirements of the food and drink industry's 3-A sanitary standards.

In addition to reducing validation time, meeting these requirements also provides functional benefits, according to Russell Finex. The firm says the screener's low-profile straight-through design enables it to fit neatly into production lines, boosting productivity of the screening processes without requiring excessive headroom. Compact design means the screener is less than half the height of a traditional screening machine.

Conventional screeners that use band-clamp arrangements can be more difficult to dismantle and often require tools, according to Russell Finex. The Compact Sieve vibratory screener's new quick-release clamping system with Finex quick-release toggle clamps enables fast screen changes without tools, which reduces operator involvement and increases productivity.

Further benefits include quiet operation (typically less than 70dBA), thanks to a solid rubber suspension system and a crevice- free design that's easy to clean.
