"The interest in these three new microbial products has been more than we could have imagined," says Elizabeth Finlay, sales and business development manager.
Biocatalysts has also seen an increase in orders for its traditional enzymes such as Lipomod 34MDP, which, Finlay says, "was a welcome side-effect from the launch of our new Flavorpro enzymes".
The firm says Lipomod 34MDP is a cost-effective base lipase for enzyme modified cheese production and butter oil hydrolysis. It is highly active on short chain fatty acids and produces a mild buttery flavour.
As it is a non-animal product, it can be used in Kosher, Halal and vegetarian markets, as can the new Flavorpro enzymes.
