Flavour and fragrance ingredient specialist Treatt has launched two new products in its 100% natural Treattarome range.
Tamarind Treattarome 9860 provides a tangy, somewhat savoury flavour, while Rooibos Treattarome 9762 imparts a spicy tea flavour. These exotic flavours can be incorporated into a variety of products.
The tamarind fruit features in savoury and sweet dishes in Africa, Asia and Latin America. It is also widely used in drinks, notably tamarind soda, and in confectionery such as hard candy.
It is also used in that well-known British favourite, Worcestershire sauce.
Rooibos, commonly known as South African red bush tea, is traditionally brewed as a herbal infusion. It is naturally caffeine free and is now frequently strongly brewed, espresso style.
