Livingston-based bakery and dessert manufacturer Patisserie UK is aiming to triple in size following a management buyout (MBO) by new md Johnnie Roden.
He bought the company from Enterprise Food Group for an undisclosed sum and plans to expand either by building on a 2,300m2 plot next to the existing factory or through acquisition.
Roden said he would be looking at manufacturers of individually packaged grab-and-go products.
Patisserie UK had sales of £5.2M in the 18 months to July 2005 and employs 50 staff to make hand-crafted products for the catering industry. The firm's client list includes Whitbread, Compass Group and MacDonald Hotel group.
