Fluid control equipment, used as part of a new automated dosing system to add minor fluid ingredients to the dough-making process, has been specified by a leading UK bakery.
Supplied by Burkert Fluid Control Systems, the equipment is used to measure and supervise the flow of ingredients via a programmable logic controller.
About 50 stainless steel cabinets housing the complete fluid control system have been delivered to the bakery's UK sites.
Burkert selected sensor and valve technologies to meet the requirements of hygienic and high-viscosity duties. Each batching line was engineered to meet the characteristics of the fluid ingredient being processed.
