Titration gives speedy solution

Salt measurement comes to the fore as regulators focus on food aimed at children

Mettler Toledo is offering titration systems as an alternative to salt meters or chloride ion selective electrodes for measuring the salt content of foods.

Automated titration is the easiest way for testing for salt content, claims Mettler. It saves time and improves the reproducibility and compatibility of results.

The company offers a wide range of titrators, ideal for both at-line and laboratory testing. The equipment provides accurate results in seconds and is suitable for all operator levels.

For instance, the DL50 Graphix autotitrator can be used for a variety of applications. This allows titration beakers to be changed manually or it can be used with a sample changer. Mettler also supplies its own sample changer called Rondolino for handling up to nine samples fully automatically.

Calibration of electrodes, standardisation of titrants and the analysis of multiple samples can all be done at a keystroke.
