The inspection company EFSIS has introduced a halal standard for the first time.
The standard is certified by UK Halal Corporation, which advises food manufacturers on supplying Britain's Muslims, and complements the EFSIS/British Retail Consortium standard. Certified products will be eligible to carry the UK Halal Corporation logo.
