Vision to smarten up your image

Stemmer Imaging plans to show its smart and compact vision systems for inspection, code and label reading and verification and 3D measurement of product volume.

Smart cameras feature on-board image processing so do not require a PC to operate. The Gocator 3D camera from LMI Technologies offers 3D measurement capabilities such as product volume, surface flatness and groove measurements and can be used in direct packaging applications or in the manufacture of packaging materials.

Product volume measurements enable the contents of cartons and containers to be optimised to avoid wasting space. Groove measurement can be used for plastic container lids while surface flatness measurement works for paper or plastic film.

The BOA range of smart cameras offers inspection capabilities for product quality and packaging integrity as well as 1D and 2D code reading and verification capabilities. The BOA Pro offers the powerful Sherlock software previously only available on PC-based systems.
