Aimia installs new £1m pouch line
Beverage manufacturer Aimia Foods has invested in a new pouch packing line to broaden the range of services it can offer foodservice, vending, leisure catering and retail consumers.

The company expects the line, which follows a £1m investment in a continuous agglomeration facility a year ago, to be operational by June.

The announcement comes after Aimia became the first UK soft drinks firm to achieve a British Retail Consortium (BRC) grade A* quality standard.

Steve Johnson, business development director, Aimia Foods told FoodManufacture.co.uk: “The new pouch packing facility is a strategic addition to our plant facility, enabling us to be as flexible as possible for brand owners who are constantly seeking new developments in packing.

“As a business we continue to invest in our plant facilities to ensure we maintain a position as a leader in the beverage market and a trusted reliable partner for brand owners.”

Aimia Foods manufactures and distributes a range of well-known drinks brands such as No Fear Extreme Energy and Weightwatchers Hot Chocolate.
