The new Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 753 AC drive from Rockwell Automation promises flexibility, ease of use and increased productivity.

The drive supports multiple languages and complies with global standards and certifications.

"Support for a variety of options and standard features, like embedded I/O [input/output] and DeviceLogix control technology, help make the PowerFlex 753 a cost-effective general purpose motor control solution," says Anthony Newkirk, drive product manager, Rockwell Automation.

"The standard I/O and set of options available make it ideal for machine builders and system integrators looking to reduce engineering costs, deliver machines to market faster, and meet end user demands for more productive and safer machines."

Allen-Bradley DeviceLogix control technology helps meet requirements for standalone applications by giving users control flexibility to combine inputs and/or outputs, as well as local logic functions, to determine the drive's behaviour.

The drive also helps manufacturers minimise downtime because users can configure the drive to provide advanced notification of operating data on cooling fans, I/O relay cycles, motor run-time hours and potential fault warnings.
