PTFE seal has sealed-in spring

The Turcon Variseal Ultra-Clean is a spring tensioned polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal from Trelleborg Sealing Solutions that offers the ultimate in cleanliness. The fully-enclosed spring design eliminates dead space within the seal and the risk of contamination.

Turcon MF, Trelleborg's proprietary PTFE-based material, is compatible with all aggressive clean-in-place fluids, and superheated steam. It also has superior wear resistance and can withstand operating temperatures of -253°C to +260°C. Its smooth finish, with high gloss and low porosity, avoids the risk of contamination build-up and reduces particle shedding. It also withstands high pressures of over 100 bar.

The seals are suitable for piston, rod, face, rotary, reciprocating and static situations and will fit into standard O-ring and Variseal grooves for easy retrofitting.
