Pukka solution for pie-maker
Three high performance X-ray systems designed to provide high levels of contaminant detection have been installed by Pukka Pies.
The firm produces about 50 million pies and pasties a year.
It wanted to invest in a system that delivered outstanding levels of contaminant detection, but which would minimise the number of false rejects, even when scanning products in metallic foil trays.
After tests to determine their ability to deliver a high level of accuracy and ease of use, Mettler Toledo's T10 XP stand-alone metal detectors with reject systems were chosen by Pukka for its Leicester factory.
