Portion control scale is versatile and precise

Industrial weighing specialist Weightron Bilanciai has launched a new scale designed specifically for manual portion control applications in the food industry.

The D430 portion control Scale offers a range of operating modes and the integrated 20kg x 1g stainless steel bench scale ensures optimum precision, says the company.

Housed in an IP68 stainless steel enclosure, the D430 terminal provides a versatile and user friendly operator interface for accurate and fast weighing.

Because the operating mode is not fixed, the D430 can be set up to operate in either standard portion control mode or takeaway mode. In takeaway mode the scale provides weighment reports, including how often the operator re-tares after performing an incorrect weighment and the total weight of incorrect weighments. During weighing, the terminal also displays the total left in container to takeaway, the product code being used and the weight of portion being removed.

Up to 1000 products can be stored with individual target weights, tolerances, product description and automatic tare time.
