Pars Foods to open new factory after runaway success of ‘Pie Sports’ brand

Scottish pie maker Pars Foods has announced the opening of a new 14,500 sq. ft production facility to meet ‘growing demand’ for its Pie Sports brand.

Pars Foods’ decision to expand its production capabilities follows major new retail listings and ‘strong growth’ across the retail sector.

Founded in 1998 by Brian Sarafilovic, its new site will serve to complement its existing 15,500 sq ft bakery in Glasgow, and will help the business meet demand from foodservice and hospitality clients, as well as retail.

The firm says its ‘success story’ over the past year in Scotland has called for increased production capacity, with its new factory set to up its production efficiency.

The development of the factory wis also poised to open up new jobs in the Scottish and wider UK bakery sector.

“This new factory marks an important milestone in our growth. Demand for Pie Sports has exceeded all expectations, and this investment ensures we can continue to scale responsibly while maintaining the quality our customers expect,” said founder, Sarafilovic.

“We are proud to strengthen our operations here in Scotland and excited for the next chapter of our business.”

Over the last 12 months, the pie maker has secured listings in a range of grocery powerhouses, including Aldi, Lidl, and Scotmid Co-op.

The brand’s flagship ‘Pie Sports’ product has proven popular both within the retail and sport sectors, and in addition to its prime retail listings, currently supplies matchday products to a range of Scottish professional football clubs, including St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Falkirk, and St Johnstone.
