The move sees the US firm shift its British headquarters into the One Station Hill building in Reading town centre in Berkshire.
PepsiCo UK has long been based out of the wider Reading area, and had previously been operating out of South Oak Way, in the town’s Green Park business park.
The multinational’s move into Reading town centre was inspired by its desire to create a “future-proofed workplace” designed around its employees and its ways of working.
One Station Hill forms part of a major regeneration of the Berkshire town’s centre, one that both businesses and the council hope will lead to a “bustling new central hub and gateway” to Reading.
According to PepsiCo UK, its decision to move into the new development was also guided by its “desire to remain in Reading”, but in a location which offers “first-class facilities.”
“We are excited to be moving to One Station Hill in 2025 and being part of the new vision for a vibrant, regenerated Reading town centre,” said Jason Richards, general manager of PepsiCo UK & Ireland.
“One Station Hill will offer our UK-based employees a modern and collaborative workplace that supports our flexible ways of working. Furthermore, the building has been designed with sustainability in mind, reflecting our own commitments to reducing our impact on the environment.”
The firm adds that the new site will also enable it to create a “great employee experience”, designed with “sustainability in mind”. Its proximity to Reading’s main line and Elizabeth Line station is also being touted as a considerable asset.
