Tea giant Twinings has unveiled a new addition to its Sparkling Tea Range, with Revive – Peach hitting shelves from today.

The move sees the Associated British Foods-owned brand expand its presence in the canned soft drinks space, with its latest peach variant joining the existing portfolio of orange, raspberry and lemon.

Developed by Twinings’ ‘Master Blenders’, expert herbalists, and Research & Innovation team, the new Peach Revive product has been designed to offer a “delicious, healthy take on a classic”, with less than 50 calories per can.

Using a green tea base, Peach Revive combines sweet peach, apple juice and elderflower aromas with a hint of lime juice.

Gill Close, marketing director for UK & Ireland at Twinings, said: “Peach is a flavour that truly resonates with our audience, and when our loyal fans clamoured for it, we knew we had to deliver something they’d be over the moon for.

“As a beloved flavour in the beverage world, we’re thrilled to introduce Peach Revive to our Sparkling Tea range – a delicious, modern take on a classic flavour – at less than 50 calories per can."

She continued: “Harnessing more than 300 years of expertise in every drop, we are committed to crafting top-quality teas and infusions that create delicious and invigorating moments for our consumers – and the extension of our Sparkling Tea range marks another step in our continued journey to innovate and enhance the tea-drinking experience for everyone.”

All flavours within the Revive range contain added Magnesium, which Twinings says is to “lift mind and spirit”.

The drinks are also rich in vitamin C to offer a revitalising boost – and (hopefully) what the brand claims is a “refreshing” mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

Centred around its four core tenets of Revive, Defence, Refresh and Boost, the Revive range has been crafted to increase cognitive function, solidify immunity, maintain alertness and drive productivity.

Peach-flavoured tea drinks have proved immensely popular with consumers across the world – with notable brands such as Lipton’s and Nestlé finding consistent success with their own variants.
