Ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s has launched a new cookie dough ice cream sandwich onto the UK market.

The launch sees the popular frozen treats firm venture into new a format in a bid to tap into a growing appetite for snacking ice cream - a category set to grow by as much as 6.7% in the next three years (Euromonitor).

The new Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream sandwich will be made available in single and four-pack formats, with each unit featuring two soft vanilla-and-cocoa swirled cookies hugging vanilla ice cream packed with chunks of cookie dough.

The brand says the new product has been made with Fairtrade Certified sugar, vanilla, and cocoa, as well with eggs from free range hens.

Lucy McManus, UK brand manager for Ben & Jerry’s commented on the new launch: “We’re delighted to bring our new Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich to Ben & Jerry’s fans across the country, giving them more ways to enjoy their favourite flavour.

“From a sweet snack at home to an on-the-go indulgence, there was only one way we could top our most-loved Cookie Dough and that was by sandwiching it!”

The Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich 4 Pack (68ml x 4) will be stocked in Asda and Morrisons from this month (January 2025) with an RRP of £5. The Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich (120ml) will also be made available nationwide at an RRP of £2.50.

This latest NPD follows on from the brand’s launch of two new SKUs inspired by bakery treats - Ben & Jerry’s Churrifically Churros-y and Ben & Jerry’s Strawberry Doughnut-eee last month.
