The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a notice that brand owner Illva Saronno has recalled the Italian liquor Disaronno Originale because of the possible presence of “micro–fragments” of glass, which makes the produce unsafe to drink.
The company said it is due to the “possible presence of foreign bodies (micro-fragments of glass) in some units, due to an anomaly on a bottling line.”
The batches of the Italian Liqueur being recalled are 700ml with batch codes 25374, 25375, 25381, 25382, 25435, 25442 and 25444.
The company has issued point of sale recall notices in retail stores selling the product and is advising customers to return the bottles to where they purchased it. The pack size is 250g with a sell by date of 29 December 2025.
Meanwhile, Asda has recalled its 10 Mini Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin Dip because the product has been labelled with an incorrect use by date making the product unsafe to consume.
Northern Irish Dunnes Stores has also recalled its Dunnes Stores Sage and Dunnes Stores Herbes de Provence because they may contain pieces of blue plastic and large pieces of natural stalk and bark, which could pose a choking hazard.
In October 2025, Morrisons recalled Morrisons Savers Salad Cream while Irish chain Dunnes Stores has recalled desiccated coconut products. Northern Irish chain Dunnes Stores recalled the desiccated coconut products because they may contain green pieces of plastic.
Recently, Calbee Group UK recalled two of its products because they contain undeclared allergens.
