The company said the investment has enabled the launch of a new Level 3 Professional Cooking, Patisserie, and Confectionery course, as well as the expansion of Level 2 hospitality modules.
The funding from Regal Foods has been used to modernise existing kitchens and equip them with the latest professional-grade tools, including commercial induction hobs, baking tins, cookware, and high-performance fridges and freezers.
These upgrades provide students with hands-on experience using the same equipment found in professional kitchens, helping to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations, the company said.
The new Level 3 course and enhanced Level 2 modules will deliver training across all aspects of professional cooking, including breads, doughs, pastries, and both hot and cold desserts. This will enable students to gain the practical skills, technical knowledge, and industry insight needed to succeed in careers across the baking, catering, and wider food industries.
Faz Ali, sales & marketing director of Regal Food Products Group Plc, said: “Building on our ongoing partnership with Bradford College, we are thrilled to expand the opportunities available to students. By enhancing the curriculum and providing access to modern, professional equipment, we hope to inspire the next generation of chefs and bakers to reach their full potential.”
Janice Flude, chef lecturer at Bradford College, said: “When colleges have the opportunity to partner with industry professionals, it enables new perspectives and ideas to develop and enhance the curriculum offer by the department. This allows our learners to grow and have a greater chance of successful employment within the hospitality industry. I believe Regal and the college are developing a strong partnership with mutual understanding form both sides creating great values for the future.”
