Renshaw, which is known for its fondant icing and marzipan, is adding Food Colourings, Metallic Paints, Sprinkles and Fruit Fillings to its range for the first time. It is also bringing back its Chocolate Modelling Paste with a new and ‘improved’ recipe.
The move marks the first major product launch for the brand since its acquisition by British Bakels in December 2023.
The new Colours range have eight vibrant water-based and eight bold oil-based food colouring shades, which are available in 20g bottles or in multipacks of five.
The Metallic Paints also feature eight shades of food paint with a “highly lustred and glittery finish”. These are also available both as an individual 20g bottle or in a multipack of five.
Renshaw’s new Sprinkles come in four varieties, adding “texture and fun”. Its Fruit Fillings, which it said is “a first” to market in the UK are made with real fruit, and are suitable for drizzling over cakes, layering into sponge, and mixing into buttercream. They are available in three flavours: Cherry, Strawberry and Blueberry.
The company said it is also bringing back its chocolate modelling paste in White Chocolate and Milk chocolate. These are for blending, moulding, and modelling intricate designs.
James Cawthorne, managing director at British Bakels, said: “This is an exciting milestone for the Renshaw brand and is the beginning of an innovation pipeline that has been developed by listening to our customers and leveraging the global expertise of the Bakels Group.
“Renshaw is a brand that is clearly loved by all bakers and has an incredibly loyal following. These new ranges are designed to bring the brand’s expertise to all areas of the cake decorating process, providing products that not only perform but that taste great too.”
