Check out the latest new product development for the festive period with everything from Pepsi Gingerbread to Kellogg’s Yule Log Style Rice Krispies Squares and festive meal makers.

Limited-edition Pepsi Gingerbread taps into seasonal period

Carlsberg Britvic is to capitalise on the seasonal opportunity within the soft drinks category with the launch of a limited-edition Pepsi Gingerbread.

The new variant which has ginger, cinnamon and vanilla flavours, joins the brand’s zero sugar cola range, currently featuring Pepsi Strawberries ‘N’ Cream and Cream Soda.

The innovation is designed to cater to a wide range of soft drink occasions during the seasonal period, from big nights in to on-the-go outings and celebrations.

Pepsi Gingerbread will be available until 31 December in Tesco stores.

The cola will roll out in a variety of formats, including: 500ml (RRP: £2.15), 600ml (RRP: £2.25), 2L (RRP: £3.75) and eight can multipack (RRP: £6.89).

Doritos launches Gingerbread flavour

Doritos has launched its first ever limited-edition Christmas flavour - Doritos Gingerbread.

The PepsiCo-owned tortilla chip brand’s “totally unique flavour combination” is aimed at driving impulse purchases among shoppers looking to experiment with new flavours this Christmas. The new variant is available across all retail channels.

The PepsiCo festive line-up also includes two new Walkers multipacks – Walkers Emmental Cheese and Walkers Beef Wellington – alongside the return of Sensations Honey Glazed Ham sharing bags.

The Walkers 5-pack Emmental Cheese flavour is available at RRP £2.15, Walkers 5-pack Beef Wellington flavour at RRP £2.15, Sensations Honey Glazed Ham flavour 150g sharing bag at RRP £2.50, and Doritos Gingerbread flavour 180g sharing bag at RRP £2.50.

Yule Log Style Rice Krispies Squares from Kellogg’s

Kellogg’s has added festive Rice Krispies Squares Yule Log Style to its snacking portfolio.

Yule Log Style has the classic crunch of Rice Krispies finished off with a Chocolatey syrup and a dusting of white sugar sprinkles.

Rice Krispies Squares Yule Log Style will be available in a multipack of four with a recommended retail price of £2.25.

Shoppers can get their hands on the new festive flavour exclusively in Tesco stores, from now until the end of the festive season.

Butter Bike in daring seasonal line

Nut butter brand Butter Bike is hitting the seasonal theme with its new peanut butter line-up.

Leading the range is a limited-edition Sage & Onion Stuffing Peanut Butter - a crunchy blend of deep roast, hi-oleic peanuts with sage, rosemary, garlic, crispy onion and flaked salt.

Joining the range is the Gingerbread Peanut Butter which is described as “Spiced and studded with crystallised ginger for fiery sweetness” and the Chocolate Orange Peanut Butter with “Orange Rich cocoa with citrus notes, inspired by a festive classic.”

This peanut butter range is vegan, gluten-free, and packed with protein. It contains no added oils (including palm), no artificial flavours, and no refined sugar.

Festive party favourites from Fieldfare

Loose frozen food specialist Fieldfare has unveiled a range of indulgent party favourites and ‘meal-makers’, designed to make mealtimes convenient and delicious this festive season.

The new range celebrates premium products including rustic arancini balls, fishcakes, buttery pastry parcels, pizza bites and halloumi sticks.

Three ‘meal-makers’ have been produced with a Nottinghamshire-based butcher and baker who also supply fine food retailers, including Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, and Selfridges.

The range includes the Cottage Pie Parcel (280g / RRP £6.49), Cheesy Aranchini (70g / RRP £2.25) and Chicken, Ham and Leek Parcel (280g / RRP £6.49)

There is a range of fish products which been developed by a small producer based in Grimsby. These include Grimsby Fish Pie (370g / RRP £6.99); Salmon and Spinach Naked Fishcake (150g / RRP £4.99) and Tiger Prawn and Ginger Naked Fishcake (150g / RRP £4.99)

There are Pizza Bites (20g / RRP £0.49) and Halloumi Sticks (25g / RRP £0.55).

These are available in farm shops, garden centres and selected retailers including Booths and Central England Co-op.
