Middledale Foods, the ingredients supplier, is focusing on UK and international growth with a restructuring of its senior team.

The company has revealed that Faye Barber has joined the business as technical manager.

Barber is responsible for leading technical standards and compliance across the business, bolstering customer and partner relationships, and driving continuous improvement to ensure food safety, product quality, and sustainable business growth.

With over 20 years’ experience in the food industry, most recently with Fairway GB and previously Park Cakes, Barber has extensive expertise working with manufacturing partners, ensuring compliance, and continuously improving quality management systems, the company said.

Her experience working alongside both customers and suppliers provides a strong fit with Middledale Foods as the business further develops its technical capability and partnership approach.

She will report directly into managing director, Sarah Summers.

Coinciding with Barber’s appointment and further underpinning the business’ technical team, former quality systems manager, Gail Dickens, takes on the role of compliance manager, supported by technical assistant, Corina Mosneanu. Both will report into Barber.

The company said the restructure reflects Middledale Foods’ continued investment in its team as it looks to future UK and international growth.

Managing director of Middledale Foods, Sarah Summers, said: “Faye’s broad experience and passion for meeting the highest technical and regulatory expectations make her the perfect candidate for this role.

“She will be central to driving a proactive and collaborative approach with our manufacturing partners, service providers, and customers whilst upholding our best-in-class standards. It is an absolute pleasure to welcome her to the team as we look to this next phase of business growth.”

Barber added: “I’m delighted to be joining Middledale Foods and to have the opportunity to contribute to the business’s future success at such an exciting time. I look forward to working closely with our customers, partners, and colleagues to ensure quality and compliance, whilst embedding a culture of continuous improvement.”

Middledale Foods customers and manufacturing partners include Yeo Valley, Baxters, and Arla Foods.
