400g packs of ‘The Jolly Hog Leek Porkers 6 British Sausages’ with a use by date of 28 September 2025 are being recalled because the presence of milk makes the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
This recall affects Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Morrisons stores in England and Wales only, the Food Standards Agency said.
The Jolly Hog has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations about the recall so that they can inform their members about the recall. The company has also issued point of sale notices to stores that sell the product.
The notices urge anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk not to consume the product in question and to return it for a full refund to the store where it was purchased.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your co-operation,” The Jolly Hog added.
Elsewhere, The Bare Pantry is recalling 170g packs of ‘Dark Chocolate Jumbo Raisins’ with a 11 February 2026 best before date because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the label.
The recall only relates to packs sold in Northern Ireland, which pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
The Bare Pantry has also been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, while the firm has issued point of sale notices urging people with an allergy or intolerance to milk to return the product and not consume it contents.
“We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation,” The Bare Pantry said.
