Farmfoods said it announced the recall as a precautionary measure due to the possible presence of seafood in certain packs of ‘Farmfoods Chicken & Spinach Pasta’, which means that product poses a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to crustaceans, fish and molluscs.
The chicken pasta product is sold in 350g packs, with the impacted batches featuring a January 2027 best before date and a batch code L5192B05D, L5192C05D, L5193C05D, L5193A05D or L5193B05D.
Farmfoods has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations which will tell their members about the recall, while it is displaying point of sale notices in stores across the UK explaining why the recall was announced.
“If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to crustaceans, fish or molluscs do not eat it,” the Food Standards Agency said.
“Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”
Elsewhere, Spoon Cereals is recalling its ‘Cinnamon + Pecan Granola’ because it contains oats (gluten) and peanuts which are not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to oats or gluten, or with coeliac disease and or an allergy to peanuts.
The product is sold in 400g packs, with those featuring a best before date of 22 May 2026 or 26 May 2026 and batch code of M5244 withdrawn from shelves and included in the recall. The recall is specific to England.
The Food Standards Agency has advised Spoon Cereals to contact the relevant allergen organisations and has warned anyone with an allergy or intolerance to oats, gluten or peanuts not to consume the product in question.
They should instead return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
